Conference Tournaments Day 1

Yesterday was a little appetizer of things to come. Just a little taste as some might say. Today is the day where the real players come out and where we do our damage. Make sure you poke your head into your bosses office for that 10am check-in before you head back home to the couch for 12 hours of college basketball (just saying that gives me goose bumps).

Went 3-2 yesterday but down -.76u on the day after losing the two 2u plays. Today we bounce back.

Florida St. vs. Virginia Tech (-3.5) 12:00pm EST 1U

This is a Virginia Tech team that has won their last three games and took down FSU by 12 earlier this season at home (ignore the 3 point loss at FSU). They're playing their best basketball of late and are poised to make a little noise in this tournament. Similar to Miami yesterday, look for Florida St. to already be thinking of Spring Break back in Tallahassee.

UCF vs. BYU (-5.5) 12:30pm EST 1U

UCF looked good yesterday, but this is a strong BYU team who has the advantage of an extra day of rest and just being the better team overall. I think they'll get out to a strong start and keep UCF at an arms length. Both teams first year playing in the Big 12, and the mormons don't have to worry about playing in the distraction of Vegas.

Rice vs. Wichita St. 1:00 EST Wichita St. 1H ML (-150) 1U

If you followed along yesterday you know we like our first halves. Two bad teams, but one has the advantage of not being absolute garbage. Wichita took care of Rice easily earlier in the season and should be able to come out hot and give us a first half w.

Wake Forest vs. Notre Dame (u136.5) 2:30pm EST 2U

You'll se a new theme out of my here. Unders. Teams prepping to play multiple games in multiple days and playing at unfamiliar sites and unfamiliar times yields unders. Notre Dame has the Kenpom adjusted 241st offense and 33rd adjusted defense in d1. This game screams under. Play of the Day. Mark this one down for 2U

USC vs. Washington (+126) 3:00pm EST 1U

Washington just fired their coach and lost to this USC team 10 days ago, but I don't think it matters. Washington is still the better team and is ultimately starting to find their groove. Take the points. Take the plus money.

Cincinnati vs. Kansas (+116) 9:30pm EST 1U

A little break between the afternoon slate and the late evening games. Take a break. Go outside. Get some fresh air. Because now we lock in. Hunter Dickinson has a shoulder injury and McCullar also won't play but it shouldn't matter. Even without them, this Kansas squad is just the better team overall. Bill Self knows how to coach in March and should take care of Cincinnati in front of the Jayhawk fans.

Clemson vs. Boston College (u147.5) 9:30 pm EST 1U

Another under. BC showed up last night, but now look for them to be tired and try to slow the game down to keep pace with a better Clemson team. This should be a high scoring game, but 147.5 is too much in my opinion. I think it settles in the mid 130's.
